A new Museum and Art Gallery (MAG) is to be built within a new Financial Services Resource Centre (FSRC) building for Bank Negara Malaysia.
The MAG will be state of art facility for the Bank’s staff and visitors, including general public. It will include a Children’s Gallery, an Economic & Monetary Gallery, a Corporate Gallery, a Numismatic Gallery, an Islamic Finance Gallery, a Presentation Theatre, a Café, a Retail Shop and a Conservation Centre at Lower Ground 1.
The total cost for the museum fit-out including multimedia is about RM45.8 million. The total built up space for exhibition and non-exhibition is in the range of 75,000 sq.ft.
Initially, HAPM in association with Fraser Randall UK (FR) were appointed as Construction Manager to manage museum fit-out works. In Nov 2007, HAPM were appointed as Client Site Representative to manage the whole museum fit-out work to its completion. The fit-out works consists of 14 specialist packages. The scope of services composes from Pre-Construction Phase, Construction / Implementation of Specialist Exhibition Packages and Post Construction Phase.
