Dr. Waseem Razzaq Khan is an environmental scientist and academic leader specialising in blue carbon ecosystems, mangrove conservation, and GHG accounting. With a dual focus on research and applied sustainability, he leads UPM’s 6Carbon Management Unit, advancing carbon verification, ecosystem valuation, and sustainable forestry management. His extensive collaboration with industry (Huawei, Sime Darby, Terra Drone) and global agencies (UNESCO, GHGMI, USGBC) positions him as a regional expert in carbon management, ESG, and sustainable forestry for Malaysia and Southeast Asia. He won Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Award for Environmental Management (KSAEEM) – Best Research Paper on Mangrove Degradation & Regeneration.
