HAPM Consultants Sdn Bhd was awarded the MLNG project for the provision of service in project management in the year 2001 by the Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd.
The project consists the construction of new office complex which was meant to be an Annex to the existing general office block, situated within the administration area of the MNLG Complex in Bintulu, Sarawak. The Annex comprises three (3) buildings, namely the entrance block and two (2) wing blocks. The construction of the Annex was envisaged in two (2) phases and was successfully completed in 30 months of construction.
Phase 1 comprises an entrance block that comes with 3 storey floor area, lobby, meeting rooms, library and operation center. Phase 1 also contains one (1) wing block consisting 3 storey floor area, laboratory, offices, crisis center and computer center. Phase 2 comprises of one (1) wing block housing the offices for the Annex.
HAPM was, then, appointed to assist MLNG in defining the basic conditions and scope of the project, as basis for the project design as well as setting up the final plan for the project implementation, management and coordination. HAPM was to ensure successful completion from project inception to handover.
HAPM had coordinated activities undertaken by the relevant professionals, specialists, designers and contractors involved in the project. HAPM had also undertaken the roles to oversee non-financial particulars that includes budget management and administration. HAPM had provided advice to MNLG and users of the buildings on functional aspects of the construction works, equipment and furniture.
