Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) through Private Funding Initiative (PFI) was appointed Trans Resources Corporation Sdn Bhd (TRC) to develop 60 acres (24.3 ha.) of land to build a new modern concept campus for Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL). The project site is located on Lot PTD 198868 (PTD 158255), Mukim Plentong, Daerah Johor Bahru, Johor Darul Takzim which approximately 35km from Johor Bahru town and 5km from Masai.
Located 45 minutes from Johor Bahru, the campus will accomplices with these few subjects : ‘Industrial Quality Assurance & Management, Plant Automation & Control, Plant Maintenance, International Logistic & Transportation and Oil & Gas (Upstream).
HAPM Consultants Sdn Bhd has been appointed by MARA as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) and leads a team of capable and professional consultants which consists of Ridza Architecture Sdn. Bhd., Nusa Network, Rim Consultancy Services Sdn Bhd and Jurukur Bahan Pendita Sdn Bhd to ensure this project meets the client’s specification, budget and complete within the time frame given.
The project commenced on 22nd April 2008 with an estimated cost at RM 196,500,000.00 and schedule to be completed by 21st April 2010. Once complete, the institution can accommodate up to 1500 of diploma and degree students and 200 staffs at a time.
