Project Overview
Strategically located next to the transportation hub of Kuala Lumpur City, KL Sentral on approximately 3.77 acre piece of land along Jalan Travers, is a commercial development intended for one of Malaysia’s most active banking institution, Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad (BKRM).
Intended to be its new headquarters complex, it is made up of two tower blocks 38 and 32 stories (headquarters and corporate office) high and an 8 stories annex building for parking, banquet and convention facilities. It has a modern corporate image to represent the client’s past, present and future images.
Accessible through main road Jalan Travers and secondary road Jalan Thamby Abdullah and Jalan Ang Seng it is easily connected to major roads like Jalan Tun Sambanthan and Jalan Bangsar to the Federal Highway and Jalan Mahameru.
The BKRM complex is designed to complement the adjacent active KL Sentral development in term of its façade, finishes and others while standing high as an icon within its vicinity. Covered pedestrian walkways connect the complex to Kuala Lumpur’s rail hub.
To be realized through Design and Build construction method, BKRM has appointed HAPM Consultants Sdn Bhd along with its subsidiary company Rakyat Hartanah Sdn Bhd as Project Management Team to manage the development.
Planned to be completed in July 2011, BKRM has awarded and signed a contract with KaSUGI Prima Sdn Bhd, a Design and Build contractor. The site was handed over to the contractor on the 4th September 2007 with project duration of 46 months.
